Kurdish Aid is a nonprofit, non-partisan charity that directly funds and works with other charitable organizations to support Kurdish communities.

Mission

Kurdish Aid’s mission is to provide relief and uplift Kurdish communities through sustainable program initiatives that address critical needs. Working closely with grassroots organizations and local networks, we identify and address basic needs and promote economic, social, and cultural well-being. Kurdish Aid strives to alleviate suffering and improve the well-being of those affected by poverty, and conflict by providing resources that promote self-sufficiency, equality, and cultural preservation. Kurdish Aid is committed to creating a world where the Kurdish people have access to the resources they need to thrive.

I am honored to address you as the President of our esteemed non-profit NGO dedicated to Kurdish Aid and the support of Kurdish communities. Our organization is driven by a profound commitment to empowering Kurds and providing sustainable relief that uplifts their lives.


In the heart of our mission lies the recognition of the unique challenges faced by Kurdish communities. We understand that they deserve not just assistance, but opportunities to flourish and build a brighter future. With this understanding, we have tirelessly worked towards creating programs and initiatives that cater to their specific needs, fostering a sense of empowerment, resilience, and self-reliance.


Our organization stands firm in the belief that true change is achieved through collaboration and inclusivity. Chia Saeed, a remarkable Iranian Kurdish woman who brings a wealth of experience and a burning passion for empowering Kurdish women. Born and raised in Kurdistan, Chia recently settled in the United States but remains deeply connected to her roots and the struggles faced by her fellow Kurdish women. As a valued member of the board of our NGO, her mission is to provide support and empower Kurdish women, who often bear the brunt of societal challenges and face a lack of rights and freedoms in their communities.


Chai’s personal journey has instilled in her a profound understanding of the unique hardships that Kurdish women endure. Having witnessed firsthand the obstacles they face, she has dedicated herself to advocating for their rights and working towards gender equality. Kurdish Aid firmly believes that by empowering Kurdish women, we uplift entire communities and create a ripple effect of positive change. Her commitment to providing relief stems from the recognition that true empowerment requires not only addressing immediate needs but also tackling the systemic issues that hinder progress.




With unwavering determination, Chia works tirelessly to amplify the voices of Kurdish women, ensuring their concerns are heard and their rights are protected. She champions initiatives that promote education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and access to legal resources. Through her invaluable contributions to our NGO, Chia has become a beacon of hope and a catalyst for transformation, striving to build a future where Kurdish women are empowered, their rights are respected, and they can thrive in societies that value their contributions.

A Jacket…

Attending class in the harsh cold winter conditions of Mariwan, where the average temperature low temperature is 23 - 28 (f) is a challenge on its own. Imagine now that you don’t have a winter jacket or socks and shoes.

Inadequate winter clothing is an unfortunate reality for many children in the Mariwan area, attending class and learning becomes tricky. Many children remain at home during the cold winter months, missing important classroom time and missing time with friends.

Zhina has donated over 3,000 jackets and 4,000 pairs of shoes to children in need. Helping provide for these children allows them to participate in activities as simple as school. Attending classes that will help improve their lives and the lives of loved ones.

The Zhina Institute recognizes this and is committed to providing financial support for the Sanandaj basketball team, the Marivan football team for the blind and the Guardians of Persepolis Football Academy and Talent Search.

Inclusion in social activities and community events can improve overall quality of life and create opportunities for physically disabled people to form new friendships and relationships.

Exercise is crucial for good health it not only improves physical health but can also enhance social inclusion. Physical activity can increase mobility, reduce the risk of secondary health conditions, and improve mental health. Additionally, many physical activity programs offer opportunities for social interaction, such as group sports teams, which can promote social inclusion and help individuals build a support network.
